  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 30 round dumpling wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (for dipping sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (for dipping sauce)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (for dipping sauce)
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional for dipping sauce)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef (or chicken/turkey), chopped cabbage, sliced green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Place a dumpling wrapper on a flat surface and add about 1 teaspoon of filling in the center. Moisten edges with water and fold to seal.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Arrange dumplings in a single layer and fry until golden brown on the bottom.
  4. Carefully add water to the skillet and cover immediately to steam the dumplings for 5–6 minutes.
  5. Remove the lid and cook for an additional 1–2 minutes to crisp up the bottoms.
